Coleman Movers & Shakers — Mark Abell Joins NBH Bank as SBA Division Director

Mark Abell Joins NBH Bank as SBA Division Director

“We are truly excited to have Mark lead our SBA team. This addition emphasizes our continued focus on growing relationships with commercial and small business clients,” says Chris Randall, executive vice president and head of commercial and specialty banking at Colorado-based NBH Bank.

Abell has more than 20 years of experience in the finance industry. Most recently he was senior vice president and SBA division manager at Vectra Bank Colorado where he was responsible for all aspects of its SBA lending division.

New Mexico SBA District Director John Woosley Retires

“When I joined the Small Business Administration I received a very warm welcome from the New Mexico small business community, SBA’s resource partners and all the other entities that promote small business success in New Mexico,” says John.

Woosley was instrumental in establishing a Veterans Business Outreach Center for the state.

Under Woosley’s leadership, Albuquerque was selected as one of the 10 initial venues for the Emerging 200 leadership program.

Geoff Miller Named Regional Sales Manager of Capital Funding

“Geoff brings his passion for assisting Business Owners and Entrepreneurs, helping them realize their dreams through education and innovations available through the myriad of SBA programs” says Ray Sebastian, Executive Director of Northern California-based Capital Funding.

Geoff will be directing a team of Business Development Officers in two Regional Offices (Sacramento/Redding); developing new business and sales strategies and leading company marketing directives. Geoff brings almost 30 years of performance in Commercial and SBA banking to his new role at Capital Funding.

George Murray Named SBA West Virginia Deputy District Director

“I have a passion for educating small businesses on government contracting,” says Murray. “Because of the proximity to Washington DC, there is a vast opportunity for small businesses in West Virginia to take advantage of federal contracts as a means to grow their business.”

“George is a great addition to our already outstanding team,” SBA’s West Virginia District Director Karen Friel says. “His government contracting knowledge and management experience will help our state’s small businesses and strategically lead our teamMa to the next level.”

George has worked for the agency for the past eight years. Most recently, Murray held the position of Lead Economic Development Specialist at SBA’s Eastern Pennsylvania District Office.
