This week the Senate voted 81-19 for Linda McMahon’s confirmation. Ms. McMahon was sworn in on Tuesday, February 14th by Vice President Pence who says, “Small business is at the heart of the American success story and Linda McMahon knows this better than most. No one is more fitting to lead SBA.”

Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Acquires CapitalSpring SBLC

niminatanGulf Coast Bank & Trust acquired CapitalSpring SBLC a Dallas-based Top-100 SBA lender.

The Company retained its entire staff and management and changed its name to Gulf Coast SBA Lending. CapitalSpring SBLC was founded in late 2012 and became a PLP in 2014. That same year it became a Top-100 and among the largest non-bank SBA lenders in the country.

Louisiana-based Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Company was founded in 1883 and has since become a fixture in the Gulf/South business community. With over $1.5 billion in assets, the bank serves its business and personal banking clients through 44 branches, Mortgage offices, Trust Investment offices, and Business Credit offices.

Joe Flumian is a new SBA Business Development Officer for Fidelity Bank specializing in healthcare lending. Joe understands the unique requirements of the healthcare industry with over 17 years as a lender and an additional 20 years experience in medical/dental manufacturing, commercial real estate, development, and construction. Additionally, he has personally obtained an SBA loan for a franchise he owned and operated which gives him exceptional insight from a customer’s perspective. He attended the University of California San Diego where he graduated with a double major in Urban Studies and Sociology. He received his Masters in Public Administration from San Diego State University. Joe resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Fred Schmid is a new SBA Business Development Officer for Fidelity Bank. He has over 20 years of lending experience and he specializes in financing childcare centers, preschools and other owner occupied businesses. Fred received his undergraduate degree in Finance and Marketing and his MBA in Finance from the University of Dayton. He is a Board Member of Florida Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders and is also a real estate industry expert with credentials as an appraiser and broker. Fred has been a part of the Ft. Lauderdale community for over 30 years.

ChrisIntemannBNC Bank Hires Chris Intemann as VP, SBA BDO

Chris Intemann is Omega, RMA and SBA Commercial Lending Course Certified with 21 years of banking experience. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Appalachian State University with a focus in Finance, Real Estate and Urban Analysis.

Intemann is from Raleigh, NC, where he lives with his wife and 17-year-old daughter. He has been involved in the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and Habitat for Humanity community service projects.
