59% of Small Businesses have Cash Flow Concerns

Up from 53% a year ago says American Express in their semi-annual small business survey.
Economic uncertainty is cited as the reason only half plan to increase capital investments in the next six months.
Some other results:
• 54% are optimistic about the future of their small business
• 35% say they don’t need to hire new employees to grow
• 31% plan to hire new employees
• 46% use social media
• 49% participate in community projects
• 83% shop “small” for non-business related purchases
• 92% of entrepreneurs are happy with their lives
