America West Returns June 3–5, 2026 with Expanded Focus on SBA Portfolio Strategy

The America West conference, a regional gathering for SBA lenders, will return June 3–5, 2026, in Sonoma Valley, California, with a refreshed format aimed at deeper discussion of portfolio management, risk, and program growth.

The event, expected to draw about 80 attendees, is being reimagined to emphasize practical strategy rather than broad conference programming.

“We want to cover the topics that don’t get enough attention,” says Chuck Evans of Lenders Cooperative. “Most conferences talk about originations, but we’ll also focus on emerging risk in SBA portfolios and how lenders manage and grow their programs.”

Sessions will include discussions on portfolio risk monitoring, the Redwood Score analytics tool, broker management, and operational strategies for expanding SBA lending programs. Speakers are expected to include Lance Sexton, Brent Ciurlino, Michael Johnston, and Elijiah Gray.

The conference will feature two content tracks, including one focused on portfolio management and another on lender operations and broker relationships. Organizers also plan to bring together 7(a) lenders and CDCs to encourage more collaboration across the SBA ecosystem.
