AVANA BIDCO Inc. Appoints of Haven Baker to Its Board of Directors

Idaho bank, AVANA BIDCO Inc., recently appointed Haven Baker to its board of directors.

Baker is the cofounder and Chief Business Officer of Pairwise, an agricultural company focused on using gene-editing technologies to address global food challenges. He served as a senior scientist at the Barnett Institute at Northeastern University and worked as an investment professional at Peter Thiel’s Clarium Capital. Mr. Baker received a B.S. from Yale University, a Ph.D. in chemistry from Northeastern University, and an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School.

AVANA BIDCO Inc. also appointed Jason Risch to its board of directors.

Risch is a partner at Risch Pisca law firm. He concentrates on litigation, business law, election law, government affairs, bad faith insurance prosecution, and association representation. Risch served on the Idaho real estate commission committee and was appointed by President George W. Bush as a Supreme Court surrogate. He has been featured as a “rising star under 40” in the Idaho Business Review and in Rising Tide. Risch holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a Juris Doctor in Law from the University of Idaho.

“I am proud to join AVANA BIDCO and I look forward to working with the other directors as the company addresses the needs of the small business community in Idaho,” says Risch.

Barnhart is an active member of the community, serving as Chairwoman for the Arizona Tech Council’s Ambassador Committee.

United Community Bank Welcomes Joe Hatchett as Vice President of Medical and Dental

Joe Hatchett joins United Community Bank’s SBA team in Atlanta, Georga.

Hatchett has over 25 years of sales experience, including 20 years spent in banking. He began his career with MBNA Credit Card Bank and also has experience in mortgage lending. Previously, he served as a medical vendor account manager for Bank of America’s Practice Solutions Dental Financing group before being promoted to regional south east medical sales manager in Atlanta.

Hatchett is originally from London, but has lived in Atlanta since 2015. He received his associate degree from Miami Dade College and his bachelor’s degree from Kent State University.
