Coleman Movers & Shakers — Hay, Huber & Haut Appointed to New Roles
Live Oak Bank Adds Shannon Hay as Loan Officer, Continues Growth with Accounting and Tax Firms
“Shannon’s experience helping accounting and tax firms grow and achieve ownership is unmatched,” says Kay Anderson, General Manager of Emerging Markets at Live Oak Bank. “We couldn’t be more excited to have him join the Live Oak team and help our customers achieve their goals.”
“I’m thrilled to begin my new role at Live Oak and continue my passion for helping small businesses grow,” says Hay. “The extensive lending options the bank offers, paired with the team’s expertise, are an unbeatable asset to this industry.”
Hay has spent his career helping entrepreneurs achieve their goals of small business ownership. He joins Live Oak Bank after serving as vice president and development officer for one of the Southeast’s largest full service banks, where he led the development of the bank’s CPA SBA 7(a) lending program. Prior to that, Hay focused on specialty lending at Bank of America Practice Solutions.
First Commonwealth Financial Adds Adam Huber VP/Senior SBA BDO
“Adam has over a decade of experience in banking, and he has proven himself time and time again to be a top performer,” Keith Bufano, First Commonwealth SBA lending executive, says. “We’re excited to welcome him back to First Commonwealth in this newly created position as we work to build the SBA business line.”
It is a return for Huber, who had worked at First Commonwealth from 2006 to 2010, first as a financial solutions center manager and then as a business banking officer. Most recently, he was a business banking manager for Huntington Bank.
Alan Haut Selected as North Dakota District Director
“I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to serve the state’s small businesses as the director for SBA in North Dakota,” Haut says. “We have a great team of professionals, and I look forward to leading them as we assist the over 73,000 small business in North Dakota.”
Haut’s career started with the SBA as an unpaid student intern. Throughout his 28-year career with SBA, he has held numerous positions, including economic development specialist, loan officer, lender relations specialist, deputy district director and acting district director since January upon the retirement of Michael Gallagher.
Haut earned a Bachelor of Science and a Master in Business Administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
His small-business roots date back to the early 1900s when his great grandfather started a hardware store in central North Dakota, he said. That business eventually led to a funeral business that remains in the family today.
