Evergreen Business Capital Promotes Kerri Nelson to Regional Loan Officer

At Evergreen Business Capital, Kerri Nelson will serve as the new loan officer responsible for the southwest Washington region.

Over the past seven years, Nelson has served as the manager of Evergreen Business Capital’s Sales Support and Loan Closing departments. In her role as manager, she provided the leadership and oversight necessary to ensure an efficient landing process. In addition to knowing all of Evergreen’s systems and processes, Nelson has extensive knowledge of the SBA 504 loan program.

In her new role as Loan Officer for the Southwest Washington region, Nelson will be able to provide a unique insight into the needs of small businesses in her area.

SBA Appoints Robert Piechota to Lead Long Island Branch

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has appointed Robert Piechota as the Branch Manager of its Hauppauge, Long Island Office.

Piechota joins the SBA after six years directing the New York City College of Technology Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Brooklyn. Piechota also previously ran his own consulting business and is a U.S. Army Veteran where he served in the Military Police Corps. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

“This is really a ‘coming home’ for me,” says Piechota. “I’ve had a great career and many opportunities to serve our nation abroad, but my heart’s always been on Long Island. That’s why I’m excited to serve Nassau and Suffolk’s small business community, helping get the word out about the SBA’s many products and services.”

First Commonwealth Bank Names Matthew Burns Financial Solutions Market Leader

First Commonwealth Bank recently named Matthew Burns the Financial Solutions Market Leader for Central Ohio. At First Commonwealth Bank, Burns will focus on executing the bank’s small business sales strategies.

Burns has over 20 years of lending experience and is known for his strategic approach to marketing and sales.

“Matthew’s extensive sales leadership, people management, and business development skills, along with his strategic approach will serve us well in continuing to drive growth in our Central Ohio market.” Says Ohio Regional President, Jason Baker. “ He will fit very well into our team serving this region.”
