SBA Administrator Linda McMahon Appoints Mary Anne Bradfield as Chief of Staff

Bradfield returns to SBA after serving as Counselor to the Deputy Administrator and Deputy Assistant Administrator for Congressional affairs from 2005-2009.
Previously she was in a senior program development role at ADS Corporation supporting the National Guard Bureau Joint Staff. Prior to that, she served as the Senior Advisor to the Chair and Agency Records Officer at the US Election Assistance Commission.
Ponce De Leon Federal Bank Names Madeline V. Marquez SVP of SBA/CDFI Initiatives
“Madeline has extensive experience in the communities we serve and understands who we are. She is a perfect fit to grow our business lending and start the development of our new Small Business Administration and Community Development Financial Institution initiatives,” says Carlos Naudon, President of Ponce De Leon Federal Bank. In this position, Ms. Marquez is responsible for developing the SBA division of the bank and creating a CDFI.
Madeline served as Executive Director and Vice President of the Bronx Initiative Corporation (BIC) a certified SBA 504 lender since its inception. In 2007 BIC changed its name to Business Initiative Corporation of New York (BICNY) and became statewide. Madeline, through BICNY, provided $70 million in loans to businesses in New York State which leveraged $202 million from banks and private equity investments. Ms. Marquez is a graduate of The College at Old Westbury and the NDC Economic Development Finance Professional Program.
Karine Decker Joins CDC Small Business Finance to Expand Lending in San Jose, Silicon Valley.
Prior to joining CDC, Decker was vice president of SBA lending for Midwest Regional Bank in Missouri. She also held SBA lending positions with two other banks and served as director of finance programs for Midwest Small Business Finance, which won the SBA’s Certified Development Company of the Year Award.
In her new position, Decker will focus on educating San Jose and Silicon Valley small businesses about the advantages of the SBA-504 program, which helps entrepreneurs buy their own commercial-industrial building or large equipment.
Chris Lee Joins Bank of the West as Vice President, SBA Business Development Officer
Prior to joining Bank of the West, Lee served as SVP, Business Development at Centerstone SBA Lending Inc. He also served as Vice President, Business Development Officer at Bank of America where he spent 14 years.
He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and is bilingual in both Korean and English.
