Matthew A. Robinson Joins First Bank of the Lake as  Senior Sales Specialist

Matthew A. Robinson has joined First Bank of the Lake’s Clearwater, Florida Small Business Administration Lending team as Government Guaranteed Lending Senior Sales Specialist, Franchise Lending. In this role, Robinson will be responsible for growing the bank’s assets by originating SBA loans and working with the other SBA Business Development Officers to process loan requests in the Franchise arena.

Robinson joined First Bank of the Lake’s SBA team in July 2020. He has over 6 years of SBA lending experience varying from SBA eligibility, assessment, credit analysis and loan origination.

Republic Bank & Trust Welcomes Pedro Bryant as Managing Director of Community Lending

Louisville, Kentucky-based Republic Bank & Trust Company has hired Pedro Bryant as EVP, Managing Director of Community Lending. In the newly created role, Bryant will help economically challenged communities and small businesses grow through new programs, including a $3 million Community Loan Fund to support small businesses and promote business development and job creation in low-to-moderate income communities.

In addition to forming the new Community Loan Fund, Mr. Bryant will be providing executive oversight of Republic’s Small Business Administration Lending Division, managed by Republic’s Vice President Kathy Pleasant. The Bank’s participation in the SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program has already provided over $520 million in total support to over 3,700 small businesses in the communities it serves.

First Bank of the Lake Hires Lee Elmslie as SBA BDO

Lee Elmslie has joined First Bank of the Lake’s Miami, Florida Small Business Administration Lending team as Vice President, SBA Development Officer. In this role, Elmslie will be responsible for growing the bank’s assets by capitalizing on his strong track record and relationships in the Commercial Real Estate arena.

Elmslie joined First Bank of the Lake’s SBA team in June 2020. He has over 29 years of lending experience and has been originating SBA loans for the past 22 years. He has averaged over $25 million in new loan production for many years and is consistently ranked in the top 5 for loan production nationally.

Mike Taylor Joins First Bank of the Lake as SBA BDO

Mike Taylor has joined First Bank of the Lake’s Jonesboro, Arkansas Small Business Administration Lending team as a Business Development Officer. In this role, Taylor will be responsible for growing the bank’s assets by capitalizing on his strong track record and relationships in the Manufacturing and Export arena.

Taylor joined First Bank of the Lake’s SBA team in July 2020. He has over 20 years of experience in SBA/USDA lending with national lenders specializing in SBA/USDA lending.
