Opus Bank, Arizona expands Commercial Banking Team, adding Nickolas Uhan, Managing Director, Senior Client Manager and Rod Banks, Jr., Director, Client Manager

“We are pleased that Nick and Rod have joined Opus’ Arizona Commercial Banking team,” says Jim Haney, Executive Vice President, Head of Commercial Banking. “Both are highly regarded banking veterans, each with a unique depth and breadth of experience structuring, originating, and underwriting asset-based, working capital, commercial real estate, and syndicated transactions, as well as delivering tailored treasury management solutions for middle-market companies, entrepreneurs, and business owners. I believe their experience will prove to be a significant differentiator as we expand our Commercial Banking coverage in the vibrant and diverse Phoenix metropolitan market.” Haney adds, “I look forward to having the additional banker coverage in the Phoenix market and building upon the success Opus has already achieved having funded nearly $500 million of loans in the region in just the last three years.”

Uhan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, in addition to a Master of Business Administration from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He is an active and long-standing member of the community, previously serving with Junior Achievement of Arizona, Arizona Humane Society, a member of the Board of the American Lung Association-Arizona and Habitat for Humanity.

Rod Banks, Jr., comes to Opus from RBI Private Investment, serving as a principal, overseeing all liquid fund management. Previously, Banks served with Centerstone SBA Lending, Inc. as Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer, responsible for developing new, nationwide SBA 7A lending opportunities.

Banks holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Eller School of Management at the University of Arizona.

Harvest Small Business Finance, East Coast Hires Ian Williams

“We are very fortunate to have Ian Williams join Harvest on the East Coast,” says both Todd Massas and Adam Seery, Co-Managing Directors and COOs for Harvest.

Ian Williams will focus on asset management, commercial real estate acquisitions, transaction management and financial structuring.

Williams has been a dedicated staple in his Connecticut community serving as a football and basketball coach, advisor and mentor and regularly participates in the funding of local charities. He actively serves as a Board of Director of the Hamden, CT Chamber of Commerce, in addition to a member of the executive board of the Hamden Pop Warner Football Association.

CDC Small Business Finance Expands Lending in Orange County and Bay Area with Additions of Daniel Munoz, Loan Officer, and Yomi Anthonio, Loan Officer, to 504 Team

In his new role, Munoz will work with bankers, commercial real estate brokers and small, market-specific business owners on the SBA 504 program in the Orange County area. An 11-year commercial lending veteran, Munoz joins CDC from Bank of America, Covina, where he served as Vice President and Small Business Banker. He also served Chase Bank in Buena Park as a Business Relationship Manager.

Yomi Anthonio will provide information regarding the SBA 504 program to bankers, brokers and small business owners in the Bay Area. Additionally, he will work with community banks, small business development centers (SBDC) and entrepreneurs to provide working capital loans up to $250.000. Prior to joining CDC, Anthonio, also an 11-year commercial lending veteran, served as both a commercial loan officer, bank manager and business banker for the Wells Fargo Bank in San Jose.
