Coleman Movers & Shakers — Randy Horst, Lesley Lang-Lopez, George Amanzio, Han Kim

Randy Horst in as New Executive Director of Small Business Capital

“We feel blessed we were able to find Randy, with the background and experience he has not only in commercial banking, but on the SBA side as well,” says Allen Weaver, president of the SBCC board and vice president of commercial lending at Erie Bank, in a statement. “It’s going to bring a lot of in-depth knowledge to the organization and he’ll be a leader going forward, helping us grow this program.”

Randy assumes the role from Marty Gareau, who retired April 30.

“I have been impressed with how Marty grew the SBA 504 loan program while he was executive director, and he’s someone I’ve always admired for doing a great job for business owners,” says Randy.
Randy worked at PNC in Brecksville for about six years, leaving there as a vice president, credit risk officer. Prior to that, he worked about seven years at Dollar Bank where he left as the vice president of corporate banking for Northeast Ohio.

Horst has served on the board of Mentor Economic Assistance Corp. for 20 years and, coincidentally, SBCC said that “discussions are taking place” regarding MEACO and SBCC merging together, but that no other details about that are being shared at this time.

Lesley Lang-Lopez Joins American Riviera Bank as Vice president/Small Business Administration Regional Lending Manager.

“I’m joining the American Riviera Bank team to help people grow their business,” Lesley says. ”I’m here to make sure the SBA system works well for our customers, from start to finish.”

Lesley, an SBA professional, comes to American Riviera Bank from a New York-based nationwide nonbank SBA lender, where she was vice president of small business finance in its Irvine office.

Previously, she was senior vice president at two California banks, in Costa Mesa and San Luis Obispo. Earlier in her career, Lang-Lopez worked for the SBA as a senior loan specialist and team leader and as an economic development specialist.

Among her professional accolades, Lesley was named the SBA Central California Women in Business Champion of the Year in 2005 and the National Association of Development Companies’ Lender of the Year in 2004.

Born and raised in Fresno, Lesley attended UCSB freshman year before returning to Fresno, where she received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from Fresno State University.

George Amanzio, Han Kim Added to Roster of Harvest Small Business Lending BDOs

“George Amanzio understands the lending landscape throughout the country, and is a big addition for Harvest, says Todd Massas, Managing Director and COO
More than twenty-plus years of small business financing experience, Amanzio has specifically focused on SBA lending.

Amanzio has worked for such companies as Textron Business Credit, Business Loan Express, Popular Small Business Capital – a division of Banco Popular, Coastal Community Bank, Florida Community Bank, Amegy Bank, First Home Bank.

He attended Northwood University and is a 16-year U.S. Navy Veteran where he attended the Navy / Marine Corp Intelligence Training School.

“Harvest just get a lot stronger with the addition of C. Han Kim, Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer,” says Adam Seery, Managing Director and COO of Harvest.

With Han Kim’s extensive academic background and 28 years of experience in the financial industry, he brings a solid foundation and solutions to properly assist business owners.

As a Seattle native Han focuses on assisting his clients in the greater Seattle area and specializes on SBA lending. He has degrees in Economics with Accounting emphasis, MBA in Finance, and PCBS (executive bank management) certificate.

Han’s family owned a small business, but never owned their real estate. Over the 20 years that they paid rent to their landlord, they could have owned the building and had a solid retirement from their investment. He sees real property ownership as a way to achieve security and wealth.
