Rick Von Minden Joins 44 Business Capital’s SBA Team as First Vice President of SBA Lending
Von Minden has over twenty years of experience handling SBA loans. He enjoys seeing the “ripple effect” of success for the business owners he assists. Von Minden holds an AA Degree in Business and an AS Degree in Banking from Broward College.

Vermont Economic Development Authority names Peter Samson new chief lending officer
“Peter brings a strong working knowledge and depth of experience in commercial lending and economic development,” says Cassie Polhemus, VEDA’s Chief Executive Officer. “His leadership experience and knowledge of economic development financing tools will be a valuable asset to our lending teams and in continuing VEDA’s role as the leader in economic development financing for State of Vermont.”

At VEDA, Samson will lead the Commercial, Agricultural and Loan Resolution lending departments.
Colony Bankborp Starts Small Business Specialty Lending Group with Two Veteran Bankers
Colony Bankcorp, Inc. announced that the company has opened a Small Business Specialty Lending Group focusing on Small Business Administration (SBA) lending and other government guaranteed loans. The newly created division will be based in metro Atlanta and will be led by two veteran bankers, Darren Davis and Stephen T. Kruto.
Davis joins Colony Bankcorp from Fidelity Bank (now Ameris Bank), where he set loan closing and profitability records for the division by increasing loan closings by 72%, increasing net income by 96% and improving processes and efficiencies through leveraging technology. He received a BS degree in Finance from Miami University.
Kruto also comes from Fidelity Bank, where he managed a government guaranteed lending team and serviced a portfolio in excess of $500 million, consisting primarily of SBA and USDA business loans. Kruto received a BS degree in Finance from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
First National 1870 Receives SBA Preferred Lending Status
First National 1870 offers a full range of financial products. Under SBA’s Preferred Lenders Program, First National 1870 will have delegated loan approval as well as closing, servicing and liquidation authority, enabling them to make loan decisions more rapidly.
Seacoast Commerce Bank Announces Hiring of Ian Dooley
Ian Dooley joins Seacoast Commerce Bank’s San Antonio branch as a Senior Vice President and SBA Business Development Officer. Dooley has over 20 years of experience in the banking and finance industry. Most recently, he served as the SBA Department Manager at TransPecos Bank where he originated $65 million in SBA loans over the last four years.
