Axiom Bank announces promotion of Scott Amatuccio to Vice President, SBA Manager

“Scott has been an integral part of building our commercial lending division, and his extensive knowledge of SBA helped Axiom Bank receive our preferred lender status in July,” says Daniel Davis, Axiom president and CEO. “I’m confident Scott’s leadership will continue strengthening Axiom Bank’s commercial assets.”

Amatuccio will oversee all SBA loan processing to include the review, underwriting and monitoring of portfolios for Axiom Bank, Central Florida.

Previously, Amatuccio was responsible for generating and monitoring commercial accounts in the Tampa Bay area. Prior to joining Axiom Bank in March 2017, he served at a regional bank, leading SBA underwriting efforts across a five-state region.

SBA District Office, Iowa Appoints Jo Eckert as Branch Manager

Jo Eckert will assume duties as Branch Manager in the SBA Cedar Rapids branch, where she brings 25 years of experience to the table.

Eckert is an economic development and community development professional with a background in entrepreneurship, new start-up/small businesses, city government, in addition to education, health care and administrative affairs.

California Bank of Commerce, San Francisco Bay, Adds Small Business Banking Leaders Maria Aberin and Karine Decker to Emerging Business Division.

“Maria and Karine have deep experience in building small business relationships and working with entrepreneurs and business owners to optimize their growth strategies and long-term financial needs,” says Roxann Middleton Burns, Executive Vice President of Emerging Business at California Bank of Commerce.

Maria Aberin, Senior Vice President, brings 25 years of SBA and commercial lending, business development and portfolio management experience to her new position. She has served the local South Bay business community since beginning her tenure in the banking industry.

Aberin holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Santa Clara University. She is an active volunteer at Most Holy Trinity School and Saint Francis of Assisi Church in San Jose.

Karine Decker joined California BanCorp as Vice President, with 15 years of experience in small business lending, specializing in SBA loans. Previously, she served in a business development role at various lending institutions throughout the Midwest. She relocated to the Bay Area in 2016.

Decker earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, in addition to receiving a professional finance certification from the National Development Council.
Decker is an active member of business, community and rotary groups. She serves as co-chair of the community relations committee of her local chamber.
