Hyperion Bank Names Susan Battle as SVP & Director of SBA Lending

“Susan has a reputation for working closely with entrepreneurs and other borrowers, no matter their SBA knowledge level or stage of the process, and that tailored approach is a great fit for our customers,” says Lou DeCesare, Hyperion President & COO. “She genuinely enjoys being on the front lines helping small business owners obtain the loans they need to reach their goals.”

Battle has four decades’ experience in U.S. Small Business Administration lending. Prior to joining Team Hyperion, Battle served in various SBA roles for a variety of Southeast banks in management positions including Director of SBA Lending. She has assisted new and existing businesses using the SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs across a variety of industries including business acquisitions, franchise lending, hospitality, childcare, car washes, poultry farms and service businesses. She will be based in Atlanta and will serve borrowers throughout the Eastern U.S. and across most industries.

Randall Bowers Joins Gulf Coast Small Business Lending

Randall Bowers brings over 15 years of financial services experience (including 4+ years with a focus on SBA and USDA lending) to his new role at Gulf Coast Small Business Lending. In particular, Randall’s areas of specialty include commercial real estate financing (and construction), business acquisitions, partner buyouts, and franchise lending.

Stone Bank Adds Matthew Stewart, Sr. and Michael Oppel to Their Lending Team

Matthew Stewart, Sr., has joined the Stone Bank SBA lending team as Sr. Relationship Manager and Michael Oppel is joining the bank as a Vice President and Loan Officer in the USDA Government Guaranteed Loan Division.

Stewart has an undergraduate degree from Baylor University and holds an MBA from Tarleton State University. He was formerly with Bank of the West. Oppel holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Valdosta State University and was formerly associated with Colony Bank.
