Warren Baas Joins First Business Bank as VP of Small Business Lending

“Warren is a great addition to our team,” says Marty Ferguson, Managing Director of SBA Lending at First Business Bank. “He’s very passionate about helping small- and medium-sized businesses grow because he has a lot of empathy for them as a small business owner himself. His experience with a wide range of businesses in different industries is a fantastic asset for our productive SBA team.”

Warren Baas graduated with a business degree from Baylor University and began his career as a physical commodities trader, while helping friends and family develop business concepts in his free time. He and his wife, Kelsey, funded and started her physical therapy clinic in Waco, TX. The experience inspired him to make a career change to help business owners succeed and grow.

SBA lending has been a perfect fit and natural extension of Baas’ ability and instincts. His experience as both a small business lender and a small business owner gives him unique insight into the daily struggles of local small businesses.
