Since the beginning of the economic collapse in 2008, construction of commercial real estate properties has decreased significantly. With an abundance of unoccupied properties an unfavorable markets, most lenders ceased construction lending.

As the economy has continued to improve recently, there has been a marked increase in construction activity over the past few months leading more business owners and their lenders to begin considering construction projects.
