In 2025, Edgar Escobar delivered exceptional results as Veritex Community Bank’s Government- Guaranteed Loan (GGL) Sales Manager, producing standout volume across both SBA and USDA platforms while providing strategic leadership in government guaranteed lending. Over the course of the year, Edgar closed $40 million in SBA 7(a) loans and $25 million in USDA B&I loans. These numbers reflect deep program expertise, strong credit judgement, and the ability to structure complex transactions that met borrower needs while aligning with lender objectives. His disciplined execution significantly grew the bank’s presence in government guaranteed lending and strengthened referral relationships nationwide.

Beyond his individual performance, Edgar also played a pivotal role in building Veritex’s GGL platform. Under his leadership, the team scaled from $0 in closed GGL production in 2024 to more than $80 million in 2025. This established a high performing origination channel that is now part of Huntington Bank following the October 2025 acquisition.
