Lenders Cooperative and Ventures Lending Technologies Announce Merger

Lenders Cooperative and Ventures Lending Technologies announced their intent to merge, creating an entity that will deliver best-in-class commercial loan origination and integrated commercial loan servicing capabilities to a wide range of financial institutions.

This merger will combine what had been two separate processes — loan originations and loan servicing — into one streamlined platform from beginning to end. The combined organization will support over 500 financial institutions in the United States, including commercial banks, credit unions, Certified Development Companies (CDCs), Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and other fintech companies providing commercial and government-guaranteed loans to their local businesses and communities.

This helps banks and other lending institutions to be able to focus more on their true strengths — lending to the small businesses that are the lifeblood of our economy and to the mission-driven organizations that are working to provide communities with the capital and opportunities they need and deserve.

Ventures Lending Technologies was created in 2000 by nonprofit mission-driven lender CDC Small Business Finance. In 2024, lenders using Ventures approved over $20 billion in projects on the platform. Ventures is now used on 99.8% of U.S. Small Business Administration SBA 504 loans — making the product critical to small business lending operations in the U.S.

Lenders Cooperative, formed in 2019, provides a variety of loan solutions and shared services for banks, credit unions, and fintechs offering small business, Small Business Administration (SBA), and commercial loans to their local businesses and communities.
During the pandemic, Lenders Cooperative’s base platform supported the origination and forgiveness of over $900 billion of pandemic lending and grants.
