Allyson Burkett Named SBA Construction Team Lead at First Bank of the Lake

Allyson Burkett has been named Vice President, SBA Construction Team Lead at First Bank of the Lake. Burkett announced the new position this week after serving as Vice President, Portfolio Construction Coordinator at the bank since December 2025.

Burkett brings more than a decade of banking experience, including extensive experience in construction, portfolio risk and special assets. Before joining First Bank of the Lake, she spent more than 10 years at Live Oak Bank.

During her tenure at Live Oak Bank, Burkett held several roles, including Construction Specialist, Construction Team Manager, Portfolio Risk Officer, Special Assets Officer and Special Assets Manager for Small Business Banking.

Burkett earned her bachelor’s degree in History from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Matt Logan Joins Provide, Powered by Fifth Third as SBA Finance Specialist

Matt Logan has joined Provide, powered by Fifth Third, as an SBA Finance Specialist. In his new role, Logan will continue working in SBA lending, helping entrepreneurs and business owners secure financing to support their goals and growth.

Logan joins Provide after nearly four years with Huntington National Bank, where he most recently served as SBA Client Specialist II. He previously worked as a Portfolio Monitoring Analyst and began his career with Huntington as a Liquidity Intern.

During his time in SBA lending, Logan has worked with business owners throughout the financing process. In the second quarter of 2025, he reported closing more than 42 loans totaling $8.5 million, including 20 loans totaling $3.8 million in April.

Logan earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Management with a minor in Professional Selling from the University of Akron. He is also fluent in Spanish.

Clint Spaeth Joins Columbia Bank as SBA Business Development Associate

Clint Spaeth has joined Columbia Bank as an SBA Business Development Associate. Spaeth remains in SBA lending but moves from underwriting into a business development role supporting the bank’s SBA loan production.

In his new position, Spaeth supports BDO staff by reviewing and processing potential loan applications, gathering required documentation and ensuring application packages are complete and accurate. He also works with applicants and internal credit and closing teams throughout the loan process.

Spaeth joins Columbia Bank after nearly four years with Lendistry, where he most recently served as an Underwriter. In that role, he processed an average of 40 SBA 7(a) and conventional loan applications per month while ensuring program compliance. He previously served as a Business Support Analyst at Lendistry.

Spaeth earned a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/TV and Speech Communication from Northern Kentucky University.
