Escobar Named Vice President of Government Guaranteed Loans at Stone Bank

Edgar Escobar has been named vice president of government guaranteed loans at Stone Bank. Escobar joins Stone Bank from Veritex Bank in Dallas, Texas, where he served as a vice president. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Sports Management from McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. He recently graduated from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, earning a graduate banking degree.

In his new role, Escobar will support Stone Bank’s government guaranteed lending efforts, including programs offered through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). He brings extensive experience in SBA and USDA lending throughout his career, helping businesses access financing solutions to support growth and economic development.

Escobar was been recognized as the 2026 Coleman SBA Business Development Officer of the Year for outstanding contributions to SBA lending.

Dan McLean Promoted to Chief Commercial Officer at Lake Michigan Credit Union

Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) has promoted Dan McLean to Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, expanding his leadership role at one of the nation’s largest credit unions.

McLean has been with LMCU for nearly 15 years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Manager. During his tenure, he has held a series of commercial lending leadership positions, including Vice President of Commercial Lending, helping guide the credit union’s commercial banking strategy and growth.

In his new role, McLean will oversee LMCU’s commercial banking operations, supporting continued expansion across business lending while strengthening the organization’s commitment to serving businesses throughout its markets.

McLean holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration from Grand Valley State University.

Peter Rahrig Promoted to Michigan Commercial Lending Executive at Lake Michigan Credit Union

Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) has promoted Peter Rahrig to Senior Vice President and Commercial Lending Executive of Michigan, recognizing his continued leadership within the credit union’s commercial banking division.

Rahrig has spent more than 11 years with LMCU, advancing through a series of commercial lending leadership roles. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Manager, following earlier positions as Vice President of Commercial Lending and Premier Banking Loan Officer.

In his new role, Rahrig will lead LMCU’s commercial lending activities across Michigan, overseeing relationship management, portfolio growth, and commercial lending strategy while supporting businesses throughout the state.

Before joining LMCU, Rahrig worked as a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst at Chemical Bank, building expertise in commercial credit analysis, financial underwriting, covenant testing, and portfolio management. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Grand Valley State University.
