Peachtree’s Greg Friedman to Keynote SBA Lender/Broker Summit in Orlando
We’re doing something different with today’s Coleman Conversation.
I’m pleased to announce Greg Friedman, Managing Principal and CEO of Peachtree Group, will be our keynote speaker at the NASLB Winter Summit in Orlando on November 17.
This is our networking event that puts SBA loan brokers and SBA lenders together in the same room.
Greg brings an interesting perspective to the SBA industry because his background goes well beyond SBA lending.
He cofounded Peachtree in 2007 and has overseen approximately $10 billion of investments in commercial real estate and other businesses. Before Peachtree, Greg originated more than $2 billion of credit transactions at Specialty Finance Group. Earlier in his career at GMAC Commercial Mortgage, he originated, closed and funded more than 300 hospitality financing transactions representing an aggregate capital structure exceeding $10 billion.
Now Peachtree is making a significant move into SBA lending.
In January, Peachtree completed its acquisition of First Western SBLC, which operates as PMC Commercial Trust. PMC is a nationwide SBA 7(a) lender and one of only 12 Small Business Lending Companies licensed by SBA. It also has Preferred Lender Program status.
Through PMC, Peachtree is offering SBA 7(a) loans from $50,000 to $5 million for business acquisitions, commercial real estate, equipment, working capital and refinancing.
And there’s a family story here.
PMC was founded more than 40 years ago by Greg’s grandfather, Dr. Fred Rosemore. Greg is now bringing that SBA lending legacy into Peachtree and combining it with the capital, infrastructure and credit experience he has built over his career.
That is why I wanted Greg in Orlando.
He has spent his career originating credit, putting capital to work and building lending businesses. Now he is bringing that experience into SBA at a time when loan brokers are becoming an increasingly important source of deal flow for lenders.
I want to hear how he sees the market.
I want to hear what Peachtree wants from brokers.
And I want our brokers to understand how a lender with Peachtree’s capital markets background thinks about credit, deal structure and growth.
The inaugural NASLB Winter Summit will be held at the Citrus Club in downtown Orlando. We begin with an attendee reception Monday evening, November 16, followed by the Summit on Tuesday, November 17.
The program focuses on lender credit appetite, getting deals approved and funded, SBA 7(a) and 504 lending, business acquisition financing, and, most importantly, putting SBA brokers and lenders together.
Our first NASLB Summit in Las Vegas proved there is real demand for a national event focused specifically on the relationship between SBA loan brokers and SBA lenders.
Orlando is the next step.
I’m delighted Greg Friedman will help us kick it off.
See you in Orlando November 17.
And take advantage of our early bird pricing through August 31st.
