SBA Hot Topic Tuesday — Fees for FY 2019

For SBA 7(a) loans of $150,000 or less — 2% of the guaranteed portion.

The Lender may retain no more than 25% of the fee.

For loans of $150,001 to $700,000: 3% of the guaranteed portion

For loans of $700,001 to $5,000,000: 3.5% of the guaranteed portion up to $1,000,000, plus 3.75% of the guaranteed portion over $1,000,000.

For loans with a maturity of 12 months or less, the fee remains 0.25% of the guaranteed portion.

For 7(a) loans made to small businesses where the physical address of the operating concern is located in a rural area or a historically underutilized business zone in the amount of $150,000 or less the annual service fee will be zero. The upfront guaranty fee will be 0.6667% of the guaranteed portion of the loan. If the loan maturity exceeds 12 months, the Lender may retain no more than 0.1667% of the fee.

For 504 loans the upfront guaranty fee will be 0.50% The annual service fee will be 0.368% of the outstanding balance of the loan.

For 504 Debt Refinance the upfront guaranty fee will be 0.50%The annual service fee will be 0.395% of the outstanding balance of the loan.
