The 43-day government shutdown between October 1 and November 12, 2025, negatively affected SBA 7(a) lenders and the SBA lending program, resulting in a significant decline in loan volume across the board.

For the top 100 lenders who generate 79% of loan volume, 68% of their annualized production is below FY 25 numbers.
