SK Subhan joins First Bank of the Lake as Team Lead

In his new role, Subhan will mentor and be the team lead in Commercial Real Estate Lending for First Bank of the Lake and responsible for originations of SBA financing solutions. Subhan is located in New York City but is available to help clients nationwide.

China Califf joins Denver Metro Small Business Development Center as Director

Califf comes to the organization with nearly 20 years of experience helping entrepreneurs and small businesses start and grow. In her role at the Denver Metro SBDC, she will oversee a team committed to providing educational programming, one-on-one free consulting and virtual resources to Colorado entrepreneurs.

“Particularly at this moment in time, the types of education and opportunities needed by entrepreneurs are shifting and I firmly believe the SBDC network is well-positioned to adapt to the changing environment of where and how we do business,” says Califf. “I feel honored to continue the work of helping small businesses and the visionary entrepreneurs behind them to start, grow and prosper through the Denver Metro SBDC.”

Evolve Bank & Trust Announces Passing of Board Member Joe Jenkins

“Joe was a true gentleman and a dear friend,” says Scott Stafford, President and CEO of Evolve. “He was one of the kindest and most generous men I have known. His leadership, guidance and wisdom will be missed, and those who knew him will be considered fortunate to have been part of his journey.”

Over the course of his career, Mr. Jenkins served in a range of capacities, including as chairman and President of the former Citizens Bank, as well as board chairman and instructor of the Mid-South School of Banking. His philanthropic endeavors include being on the national and Arkansas-affiliate boards of the American Heart Association, the boards of the Mid-South Community College Foundation and the Crittenden County Regional Hospital. He also was a founding member of the Esperanza Bonanza Festival in Marion, AR. Mr. Jenkins served as chairman of the board of the Assisi Foundation of Memphis. He graduated from Arkansas State University and the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
