• There are 76,878 small businesses in Vermont.
• Vermont small businesses added 99.9% of all new jobs between March 2021 and March 2022.
• In 2021, banks issued $188 million in loans to businesses with revenues of $1 million or less.
• New lending to businesses through loans of $1 million or less was $632.5 million.
• Small businesses accounted for 60.4% of Vermont employment in 2020, exceeding the national small business employment share.
