Search the Franchise

A recognizable brand name does not tell you how its SBA loans have performed.
The Coleman Franchise & NAICS Portal does.
Search a franchise and review its SBA 7(a) lending history, including:
- SBA loan count
- Gross loan dollars
- Paid-in-full performance
- Charge-off rates by loan count
- Charge-off losses by loan dollars
- Portfolio stress indicators
- Performance by approval year
Every graded franchise receives a Coleman Franchise Report Grade from AAA to F based on seasoned SBA 7(a) loan performance and portfolio stress.
Then compare the franchise against two benchmarks that matter: its own NAICS industry and the entire SBA franchise universe.
Search the Industry
The portal is not limited to franchises.
Search by NAICS code to see how SBA 7(a) loans have performed across an industry.
A franchise may outperform its industry, track closely with it or show materially different loss performance.
The portal puts both views in one place:
Franchise performance. Industry performance. SBA loan history.

Built From SBA Loan-Level Data

The Coleman Franchise & NAICS Portal is built from SBA 7(a) FOIA loan files.
It is not based on franchisor surveys, self-reported performance or projections.
The portal distinguishes seasoned loan performance from newer loan cohorts whose losses have not had time to develop. The underlying reports track SBA 7(a) performance by approval year and identify the seasoned cohort used in the analysis.
Updated Quarterly
SBA loan performance changes.
So does the portal.
Each quarterly release incorporates the latest available SBA 7(a) loan data and refreshes franchise grades, franchise performance and NAICS industry results.
Independent Coleman Grades

No franchisor pays for a Coleman Franchise Report Grade.
No business relationship affects a grade.
The grade is Coleman Report’s assessment of a franchise brand’s SBA 7(a) loan performance. It is not a credit rating and is not a recommendation to approve or decline credit.
