He is like a great airline pilot who knows how to get clients where they need to go, on time, with a soft landing.”
Michael joins Harvest from SunTrust (now Truist Bank) where he worked to increase SBA lending throughout six regions as a subject matter expert and Loan Officer.
Hughes was an SBA Business Development Officer throughout the Mid-Atlantic for more than a decade, where he partnered with business advisors to help offer expert advice identifying project scope, available increases to cash flow, and providing customized SBA and lending solutions for clients. He has held various positions including Financial Center Manager, Business Banker, and Commercial Relationship Manager.
Harvest Welcomes Travis J. Wheeler as an Assistant Vice President and Business Development Associate
“It’s great to have Travis at Harvest now, and I’m happy to bring a fellow USC Trojan onboard,” says Dain Court, Harvest Regional Sales Manager for Southern California.
He has his Master’s Degree from the University of Southern California, and over the last 30 years has been a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting and a strategic advisor with First American Title. Travis is an active member of Vistage, and he’s always had an affinity for commercial real estate which has lead him to personally invest in and syndicate several deals over the years.
Travis says he’s “excited to join Harvest and appreciates the opportunity to work with Harvest and their amazing team.” He’s a rare Southern California native and looks forward to working in the SoCal community to help business owners and brokers secure their real estate financing.

“I spent 15 years working with some of the top SBA shops in the country, so I had the opportunity to experience many different cultures. Without a doubt, Fund-Ed is among the best, and I firmly believe we will continue to grow,” says Harris. “Our value proposition and our white-glove approach are second to none. I am excited to learn from the team and put my expertise to work for a company whose vision I share and admire.”
