ScottHarveyScott Harvey Joins Seattle-based HomeStreet Bank to Oversee SoCal Market

“HomeStreet announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Simplicity Bancorp (SMPL). Simplicity is headquartered in Covina, CA and has 7 retail bank branches in Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties.

“This is a positive development for the bank, as it will help it diversify its revenue stream, fill out its mortgage platform and strengthen its capital position. It will also allow HomeStreet to establish a stronger presence in Southern California, an area it has been targeting for some time. HomeStreet Bank plans to add commercial lending, including SBA loans, to the products currently offered by Simplicity Bank.”

Additionally, Grant Simon has relocated from Bridge Bank’s headquarters in San Jose as relationship manager in the Capital Finance Group.
