Angela Burton Named SBA Lower Rio Grande Valley District Director

Burton, who served as Brownsville Chamber of Commerce head for nine years before becoming deputy director of the SBA district office in July 2013, starts her new job April 5. The Lower Valley district, part of SBA Region VI and headquartered in Harlingen, covers 14 counties and includes a satellite office in Corpus Christi.
Anthony Ruiz Named San Antonio District Director
Ruiz most recently served as the assistant district director for the 8(a) Business Development Program in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area District Office. Prior to joining the SBA in 2011, Ruiz served in the Maryland Small Business Development Center Network for seven years as a counselor and the Capital Region director. While there, he led that region to be the No. 2 top performing SBDC region in the nation and the No. 1 performing region in SBA’s Region III.
Laurel McNamara Joins Small Business Finance
Laurel McNamara has joined Small Business Finance as a business development officer to provide SBA financing to small businesses throughout Arizona and Nevada.
Prior to joining Small Business Finance, McNamara worked as a small business banker for Washington Federal in Phoenix. In prior years, she worked for Arizona Bank & Trust, U.S. Bank, MB Financial Bank and TCF Bank in Illinois.
For Small Business Finance, McNamara will collaborate with existing loan officer Christopher Bane to provide small businesses access to a variety of SBA financing products, including Community Advantage loans up to $250,000 and microloans, up to $50,000.
Ray Drew Joins ReadyCap in South Florida
Before joining ReadyCap Lending, Drew was a Vice President and SBA Loan Specialist for HomeBanc NA in West Palm Beach, Florida. He was also a client advisor for Mercantile Capital.
Ray received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida. As an active member in the community, Drew serves as the Developing Leaders co-chair for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, Palm Beach County chapter.
Tim Collins Joins Bancorp in Arizona
The Bancorp’s Government Guaranteed Lending division is pleased to welcome Tim Collins
as a First Vice President, Business Relationship Officer. Tim brings over 27 years of SBA lending experience to The Bancorp and in recent years has been recognized by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as an SBA Financial Services Champion and Veteran Services Champion of the Year in Arizona.
Most recently, Mr. Collins had been the SBA Lending Manager for BNC National Bank
