The U.S. Small Business Administration on Monday announced that Betsy Markey, a Colorado congresswoman from 2009 to 2011, will become the regional administrator for Colorado and neighboring states. She succeeds Matt Varilek of South Dakota. Varilek was a former aide to U.S. Sen. Tim Johnson, D-South Dakota, and former Sen. Tom Daschle.
Jonathan Chaffee, vice president, SBA lending officer, has worked at Alliance Bank for the past 5 years. In his current position, Jon oversees and manages the bank’s SBA lending programs. He is responsible for managing new and existing client relationships with small businesses located in the Minneapolis and Saint Paul area.
Jerry is an accomplished professional with more than 25 years of senior-level experience in SBA lending, business development, organizational restructuring and a host of other areas critical to the success of financial business acquisitions.

Based in Wilton, Conn., Pretty will lead a team of Business Development Officer’s responsible for expanding TD Bank’s SBA loan production, including 7(a) and 504 loans to businesses seeking to purchase commercial or industrial real estate, Business Acquisitions, Machinery & Equipment and growth capital, serving commercial clients in Connecticut and across New England and New York.
