With the elimination of SBA form 1920, the SBA 7(a) Borrower Information form 1919 is a very critical factor in the underwriting, approval and closing of the 7(a) loan.
Obtaining correct data from your borrower is crucial in determining eligibility of the applicant and loan structure — to verify you have a valid SBA loan guaranty.
Effective December 26th, SBA has updated the form with implementation no later than January 26th.
To familiarize yourself quickly with the new form, Coleman’s national award winning SBA training instructor Lance Sexton will save you time by hosting a webinar with all of the information you and your staff need to know about its change.
He will summarize the information provided by SBA by merging information from the new form, the new SOP, technical correction notices and the important information culled from SBA’s January 9 quarterly lender two hour phone call. He will do this so you don’t have to!
Lance will address the significant form 1919 revisions:
- Authorized Representative Certification
- Authorized Representative Signature
- Beneficial Ownership Disclosures
- Criminal History Questions and Eligibility
- Additional Ineligible Activities
- Citizenship Status Certification
- Child Support Status Certification
- Updated Additional Borrower Certifications and Representations
- How to Calculate of Number of Employees and Jobs Created
Review of the Form
Lance will also review the entire form and offer his insights of how the lender should properly advise the borrower how to complete the entire form.
Specifically:
- Use of Proceeds
- Applicant Ownership Percentages
- Demographic Information
- A review of the 11 questions asked of the borrower in SBA Form 1919
