Brian Harper Named Managing Director of SBA Lending at Avidbank

Brian Harper has joined Avidbank as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of SBA Lending, where he will lead the bank’s newly established SBA Lending division.

Harper brings 34 years of banking experience, including 23 years specializing in SBA lending. Throughout his career, he has held senior SBA leadership positions at Cadence Bank, SouthState Bank, and Atlantic Capital Bank, building and managing government-guaranteed lending platforms. Most recently, he served as SBA National Sales Manager at Huntington National Bank (formerly Cadence Bank), where he led a national team of SBA business development officers that generated more than $150 million in SBA loan production.

In his new role, Harper will oversee Avidbank’s SBA lending strategy and nationwide growth initiatives, leading a team that includes Thomas Rockwood (business development), Jennifer Zambrano (credit and underwriting), and Karen Campbell (documentation, closing, and servicing). The division will focus on financing business acquisitions, commercial real estate, franchise startups, equipment, working capital, and business expansion through the SBA loan programs. According to Harper, Avidbank’s client-focused culture and responsive approach provide a strong foundation for building a differentiated SBA lending platform dedicated to helping entrepreneurs achieve their growth objectives.

Jordan Landon Joins Climate First Bank as Senior Vice President and SBA National Sales Manager

Climate First Bank has appointed Jordan Landon as Senior Vice President and SBA National Sales Manager. Landon joins the bank with nearly two decades of experience in commercial and small-business lending, including eight years with Huntington National Bank, where he most recently served as Senior Vice President and SBA Regional Sales Manager. Throughout his career, he has managed significant lending portfolios and held leadership roles in credit risk, underwriting, portfolio management, and sales management with Huntington, Nationwide, PNC, JPMorgan Chase, and Bank of America.

In his new role, Landon will lead Climate First Bank’s national SBA lending sales efforts, helping to expand the bank’s reach and deliver tailored financing solutions to entrepreneurs and small-business owners across the country. Known for his relationship-based approach to banking, he has helped businesses secure capital for start-ups, acquisitions, expansions, working capital, and commercial real estate projects. Climate First Bank cited his extensive experience driving growth in small-business lending and leading high-performing teams as key factors in his appointment. He joins one of the nation’s fastest-growing financial institutions; Climate First Bank has been recognized as the fastest-growing new bank in the United States since 2009, surpassing $1.6 billion in assets just five years after its founding. Landon holds an MBA in Finance from Ashland University and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kent State University.

Avidbank Launches SBA Lending Division

Avidbank Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVBH) has announced the launch of a new Small Business Administration (SBA) Lending division, expanding the bank’s commercial banking capabilities and reinforcing its commitment to serving small and mid-sized businesses with government-guaranteed financing.
