Chris Hackney Named Chief Lending Officer at Lendesca

Chris Hackney is currently Chief Lending Officer for Lendesca which is an SBA Lender Service Provider modernizing small business lending, increasing access to capital and redefining what is possible for small business owners.

Chris’s leadership track record includes serving as President of SBA & USDA Lending for a community bank based in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he led the growth of the national SBA lending platform to a top 5 national SBA lender. Prior to his role as Division President, Chris began his SBA career as an SBA Underwriter building credit acumen before assuming the role of Business Development Officer and later leading a team of Business Development Officers. This experience continues to inform his approach to disciplined growth, risk management, and scalable lending infrastructure.

Recognized for both impact and leadership, Chris was named a 40 Under 40 honoree by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and selected as a Next Generation Leader by the NAACP St. Petersburg Branch. He has also received the Coleman National Emerging SBA Lender of the Year Award, honoring leaders under 40 who have made a meaningful difference in the small business community.

Beyond his professional work, Chris plays an active leadership role in the community as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside, where he helps guide efforts that expand access to affordable housing and strengthen local neighborhoods. He also remains committed to mentorship and financial literacy, supporting entrepreneurs and students through education and service.

Nick Campbell Promoted to Chief Lending Officer at First Internet Bank

First Internet Bank has promoted Nick Campbell to Senior Vice President, Chief Lending Officer. In his new role, Campbell will lead the Bank’s lending organizations, including SBA Lending, Commercial Real Estate Financing, Acquisition, Development and Construction (ADC) Lending, C&I Lending, Consumer Lending and Business Lending. He will be responsible for lending strategy, portfolio growth and expanding specialized lending solutions nationwide.

Campbell joined First Internet Bank in March 2017 as Vice President, CRE Portfolio Manager and has since held positions of increasing responsibility, including Vice President, CRE Relationship Manager; First Vice President, Credit Administration; First Vice President, Commercial Real Estate; and First Vice President, Senior Credit Officer. During his tenure, he has helped drive the growth and performance of the Bank’s commercial real estate portfolio, particularly in construction and development lending, while providing leadership in credit administration, risk management, credit strategy and underwriting.

Campbell brings more than two decades of lending and banking experience to the role. Prior to joining First Internet Bank, he held positions with FORUM Credit Union and Monroe Bank. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and a Master of Business Administration from Ball State University.

Diane Gallion Joins Newtek Bank as President of SBA Operations

Diane Gallion has joined Newtek Bank as President of SBA Operations, bringing extensive experience in SBA lending, operations, credit risk management, compliance and training. Her background includes leadership across SBA 7(a), 504 and USDA lending programs, as well as loan production, construction risk management, C&I and commercial real estate lending.

Most recently, Gallion served as SVP, SBA Closing & Loan Operations Leadership at First Women’s Bank. She previously served as SVP, Director of SBA Sales Enablement and Training at First Citizens Bank and as SVP, SME Division Credit Manager, Fulfillment & Construction at BMO.

Gallion has also spent more than two decades actively involved in SBA industry leadership and training through the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL). She served as a NAGGL board member from 2011 through September 2026 and received NAGGL’s Instructor “Silver Apple” Award.

Gallion’s experience includes building and aligning business units, implementing business technology platforms, developing operational and compliance procedures, managing risk and maintaining relationships with internal and external business partners, regulators and SBA.
