New Coleman SBA Data Portal: Franchise and NAICS Loan Performance

When a franchise loan reaches underwriting, you can now check how that brand has actually performed in the SBA 7(a) program.
The new Coleman SBA Data Portal gives SBA lenders independent loan-performance data for franchise brands and NAICS industries. Instead of looking at a brand in isolation, you can compare its performance with its NAICS industry and with the broader SBA 7(a) franchise portfolio.
Search a franchise brand and receive a Coleman Franchise Risk Grade from AAA to F, together with the underlying 0–100 score and the performance data behind the grade.
For each franchise brand, review:
• SBA 7(a) loan count and gross approved dollars
• Performance by approval year
• Charge-off frequency and charge-off dollars
• Comparison with the brand’s NAICS industry
• Comparison with all SBA franchise loans
• Delinquency, past due, liquidation and SBA purchase data
The NAICS database lets you perform the same type of review at the industry level, comparing seasoned loan performance for an individual NAICS code with the overall SBA 7(a) portfolio.
No franchisor pays Coleman for a grade. Every qualifying franchise brand is evaluated under the same published methodology using SBA loan-performance data.
The portal is updated quarterly. Reports can be printed or saved as PDFs for the credit file.
Annual institutional access for anyone with your email address domain is $1,995 and includes both the Coleman Franchise Report and Coleman NAICS Report.
Use the Coleman SBA Data Portal when you need an independent performance check on a franchise brand or industry before making the credit decision.
