Says the SBA, “The SBA has immediately suspended non-lenders Blueacorn and Womply, companies that worked with PPP lenders, from working with the SBA in any capacity. The SBA will be investigating appropriate action against their management, owners, and successor companies.

The SBA will also launch full investigations of lenders who partnered with fintechs.

SBA states that they will work with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the Federal Reserve Board, and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to ensure federal financial regulators are coordinating their response to any wrongdoings by lenders.

With recent legislative changes, SBA has evolved into a regulatory agency. It has the power to discipline, fine and disbar lenders from the program. So, now is the time to review your procedures to ensure you and your staff know the key compliance issues to protect themselves, the borrower and the PLP lending license.

You and your team will learn:

  • The Top 10 Priority Items for PLP Compliance
  • Curing the PPP Loan Hangover
  • SBA’s checklist for a Lender Review
  • How to lower your PaRRIS score
  • How SBA Analyzes a Lender’s Loan Portfolio
  • How SBA Analyzes a Lender’s Loan Asset Management
  • How SBA Analyzes a Lender’s Regulatory Compliance
  • How SBA Analyzes a Lender’s Risk Management
