All PPP Borrowers Must Apply For Forgiveness Through the Direct Forgiveness Portal

Effective immediately, all PPP borrowers must apply for loan forgiveness through the SBA PPP Direct Forgiveness Portal. This is regardless of loan size or lender. All PPP lenders are required to process forgiveness applications submitted through the SBA PPP Direct Forgiveness Portal. This applies even if the lender has their own internal processes for PPP forgiveness. While these lenders may still use their internal processes, they also need to review and decision forgiveness applications through the Direct Portal.

SBA will automatically enroll all lenders not already enrolled in the direct forgiveness platform.

“This shift is intended to simplify the forgiveness process, ensuring that more borrowers can access the support they need with greater ease,” says the SBA PPP Forgiveness Team. “We strongly believe that these changes will benefit both borrowers and Lenders, ensuring quicker, more efficient access to forgiveness.”

  • Requests for advanced technical support, API support and UAT error support to developer@ussbaforgiveness.com.
