Julie Verratti Named SBA Associate Administrator of Field Operations
Julie Verratti, owner and operator of Denizens Brewing Co., will serve as Associate Administrator of Field Operations for the U.S. Small Business Administration under President Joe Biden. In her new role, Verratti will oversee 68 field offices and 10 regional offices responsible for providing services to the country’s small businesses.
“I’m looking forward to being able to advocate and push for policies that will help small businesses start, grow and succeed, especially in the COVID era,” says Varratti. “Small businesses are the lifeblood of communities and our economy and we all really need to do our part to make sure that they survive at the end of this.”
In addition to owning and operating her own small business, Verratti has also served as a board member for the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, has worked with several non-profit advocacy organizations, and served for a short time on the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. She holds a law degree from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University.
Mark Raffield Joins Union Bank as SBA BDO

Raffield brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to Union Bank, including 21 years as a Business Development Officer for Legacy Wachovia, First Union and The Money Store Commercial Lending. Additionally, he brings five years of underwriting and credit management experience to his new role.

Andrew Jadatz Joins Newtek Business Services Executive Team

Andrew Jadatz joins NMS as Senior Vice President of Product Development. Jadatz comes to NMS with over 30 years’ experience in the merchant services arena, with an extensive background in product development and management.
Prior to joining Newtek, Jadatz served as Vice President, Senior Merchant Integration Officer at Bank of America. He has also served as Vice President, Project Management Officer at Bluefin Payment Systems, and held senior positions in product development and management at entities such as Vantiv, Cynergy Data, and First Data International.
