Renèe Bender Joins NADCO as New Vice President of Government Relations

Renée Bender joins NADCO from the SBA, where she served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of Rural Affairs and focused on access to capital and federal, state, and local programs for businesses in rural America. 

Bender previously spent 12 years in the U.S. Senate, most recently as a Senior Professional Staff Member for Chairman Marco Rubio (R-FL) on the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship. In her capacity on the Committee, Bender managed the SBA lending and investment portfolios and was one of the primary drafters of the Paycheck Protection Program.

Bender also previously worked in the office of Senator Mike Enzi (R-WY), where she handled small business, financial services, telecommunications, and appropriations. 

 Renée is a native New Mexican and earned her B.A. from New Mexico State University in 2007.

 

Margaret Griffin Joins SomerCor’s Leadership Team as Chief Lending Officer

Griffin comes to SomerCor with extensive SBA lending experience and a distinguished management track record. She most recently served as Senior Vice President, SBA Regional Sales Manager, for Huntington National Bank, where she led a team of bankers that ranked number one in the Chicagoland area three years consecutively in SBA loan origination volume. 

Previously, Griffin served on SomerCor’s board of directors for two years, 2019-2021. Griffin is also a  subject matter expert presenter for the SBA Illinois District Office and SCORE.

“I have worked with SomerCor as a banker and board member and am excited to be part of such a talented team,” says Griffin. “I look forward to helping SomerCor scale its growth to make sure more small businesses can benefit from the SBA 504 program.”

 

Jenni Shover Promoted to Executive Vice President, Director of Marketing at Gulf Coast Small Business Lending

“Jenni has contributed mightily towards strategic, organizational, operational and naturally front-end topics and, for these reasons, she is a valuable part of our leadership team,” says Nimi Natan, Division President and CEO of Gulf Coast Small Business Lending.

Jenni Shover joined the company in February 2019 and has been involved in SBA lending for thirty years. In her new role as Executive Vice President, Director of Marketing, Shover will continue to oversee the development and execution of all elements of Gulf Coast Small Business Lending’s national marketing platform from her office in Atlanta, GA.
