Evolve Bank & Trust Appoints Becky Bowers as Community Bank President, Memphis

Bowers joined Evolve in October of 2011 as Vice President, Bank Branch Manager, Private Banker and then in March of 2018 was named Senior Vice President, Private Banking and Commercial Lending. Prior to Evolve, she served in a variety of roles with several other local community banks. Bowers was also a Faculty Professor for the University of Phoenix where she taught Finance for Business, Business Communications and Critical Thinking. She was named a Power Player in Banking by Memphis, The City Magazine in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Byron Reed Joins CDC Small Business Finance as New Senior Vice President of Business Advising

In his commitment to serving borrowers from underestimated communities, Byron Reed leads, manages, advises, and provides strategic direction to the business advising team that consults with small to medium-sized business owners and partners.
Byron has more than 35 years of banking experience working in the areas of community development, corporate philanthropy, community/government relations, trust services, small businesses, real estate, and consumer lending. He most recently served as Senior Vice President at Texas Capital Bank, where he led the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) business plan and strategy to assist communities to thrive.

In his new role, Shanks works with businesses to find lending options that work best for their needs. He also helps members with expanded small business and commercial banking services, including commercial lending, SBA financing, member business checking and other business-related financial services. Shanks joins TFCU with 17 years of commercial banking experience.
