Caroline Taylor to Serve as Head of SBA Lending at Regions Bank

“Caroline has a real passion for serving small businesses and helping them succeed. Before joining Regions, Taylor served as national head of SBA Lending and as Small Business Credit Underwriting director at Capital One. There, she developed a high-performing lending team for portfolio management, underwriting, closing, and liquidation while spearheading daily operations focused on credit underwriting and portfolio management. 

Taylor earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from North Carolina State University. She currently serves as a board member for NAGGL and is a member of the Large Bank Committee and Technical Committee.

Taylor will be based in North Carolina while guiding services for Regions’ small-business clients across the South, Midwest, and Texas.

Reece Sanford Joins SouthState Bank as a VP, SBA Relationship Manager

Sanford has 13 years of banking experience working in retail, accounting, underwriting, and business development for multiple Georgia-based community banks. Most recently, he managed the SBA Department for Community Bank of Pickens County. During this time, Sanford was named the 2020 Coleman Emerging SBA Lender of the Year.

Sanford holds a BBA in Finance from The University of Georgia, an MBA from Kennesaw State University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. 

At South State Bank, Sanford will focus on business development and SBA/USDA loan origination within the Bank’s footprint.

Sanjay Sharma Joins Gulf Coast Small Business Lending as SVP, Business Development Officer

Sanjay Sharma brings over 32 years of financial experience to his new role at Gulf Coast Small Business Lending, having specialized exclusively in SBA since 1998. In particular, Sharma has developed an expertise in financing special use properties such as gas stations, auto repair facilities, grocery/liquor stores, and hotel/motels.

Sharma will serve small businesses from Gulf Coast Small Business Lending’s branch office in Sacramento, California.
