Coleman Movers & Shakers — Fred and Terry Crispen Join United Midwest Savings Bank

“We believe there is tremendous opportunity in this segment, and Fred and Terry give us great confidence in our ability to serve this niche,” says Craig Street, United Midwest’s EVP and Chief Lending Officer. “As with any market, experience matters – and the Crispens have been intimately involved in this segment of SBA Lending going all the way back to the Community Express program. Their expertise in not only Originating, but Underwriting, Closing, and Compliance with the SBA program and its nuances make this a great fit for us.

“We are very excited to have Fred and Terry on board. Their experience and values are a great fit with the culture we are building at United Midwest,” says Ed Cohn, the bank’s President and CEO. “Fred and Terry are highly regarded as leaders in SBA Lending.”

CBC National Bank Appoints Richard Duncan in the Bank’s SBA Lending Division

“We welcome Rich to our team and look forward to his contribution in helping expand our capabilities in USDA lending,” says Durand Childers, executive vice president and managing director of CBC’s SBA lending division. “Rich’s targeted expertise will be an asset to our SBA division as we continue to grow our government guaranteed platform across our footprint.”

Richard is joining CBC as a vice president in the SBA division’s government guaranteed lending group. He will work as an SBA and government guaranteed lender giving specific focus to his specialty area of USDA Business and Industry loans. His lending will focus on the geographic areas of the southeastern United States.

Duncan has in-depth experience as a USDA Business and Industry lender, most recently as owner of his own consulting firm specializing in government guaranteed lending. He also had long stints during his career with the Federal Aviation Administration and the United States Marine Corps. Duncan is a summa cum laude graduate of Flagler College with a degree in business finance.

Michael Holle Joins CBC National Bank’s Team

“We are pleased to be able to continue strengthening our SBA lending franchise by bringing on additional experienced and talented bankers like Michael Holle,” says Durand Childers, executive vice president and head of CBC’s SBA lending division. “Michael has deep roots in LaGrange and in-depth contacts and experience lending across the Southeast. As we work to continue growing our Georgia SBA lending operation, and bolster our SBA lending across our footprint, Michael’s experience will prove invaluable.”

Most recently, Holle served as vice president of government guaranteed lending with Southern States Bank. Prior to that, he was a commercial loan officer, SBA lender and commercial underwriter with CharterBank. He also has worked as a mortgage loan originator with Statewide Mortgage Group and Flag Bank. Holle is a graduate of Auburn University and the Graduate School of Banking at LSU.

ROGER KADZ Retires from Nevada State Development

“For me, it’s always been about maintaining relationships,” Roger says. “Meet and greet your clients. Look them in the eye. Do a lot of listening. Listen to their needs, and be a resource to help them achieve their goals.”

“From my end, it’s been gratifying to work with such a great cross section of business owners, from plumbers to restaurateurs, as well as electricians, heating contractors, a sign shop, woodworks, several architects, and the list goes on,” says Roger. “Another fun thing for me, being based in the northern section of the state, was establishing contacts out in the rural counties — the Winnemucca and Elko regions in particular. We’ve done quite a few deals in those areas.”

“The big thing that is going on in the Reno area and Northern Nevada, of course, is all the energy generated from the Tahoe-Reno Industrial Center, the major announcement that the Tesla Gigafactory will be located there, and the huge Switch data center campus,” says Roger. “We’re eagerly anticipating several more big announcements that could be coming out any day now. All of this activity serves to spur business and economic development in the region, which is a crucial part of our mission at Nevada State Development Corporation.”

Before coming on board with NSDC, Kadz served as senior vice president with Plumas Bank and as senior vice president with First National Bank of Nevada. He also had experience with First Interstate Bank of Nevada, Bank of the West, Nevada Security Bank and Comstock Bank.

Kadz, earned a B.A. at University of Redlands and attended UCLA for income property analysis and appraisal courses, was based in Las Vegas from 1987 to 1990 before moving to Reno.
