Plumas Bank Promotes Three Top-Producing Team Members in SBA Lending Group

Kelley Cheney and Robert Porter were each promoted to Senior Vice President, Business Development Officer and Riley Williams was promoted to Vice President, SBA Loan Officer.

Kelley Cheney has been with Plumas Bank for 15 years and specializes in financing gas station/convenience stores, grocery stores, car washes and other businesses where change of ownership occurs. Cheney is a member of the California Association of Business Brokers and the Colorado Association of Business Intermediaries. He recently served on the board of the California Association of Business Brokers holding roles as director of governance, director of affiliate sponsorships and conference co-chair.

Robert (Bob) Porter joined the bank in 2008. He specializes in financing acquisitions in the restaurant and hospitality industry and other businesses where change in ownership occurs. Porter is a member of the California Association of Business Brokers, the Colorado Association of Business Intermediaries, and is active in numerous business networking groups.

Together, Kelley and Bob have funded nearly $400 million in small business loans during their tenure at the bank.

Riley Williams joined the Plumas Bank SBA team in 2020 and has become a top-performing underwriter. With more than 10 years of experience in financial services, he has helped the department update programs, processes and procedures to improve efficiencies within the department.

Metropolitan Commercial Bank Appoints Anthony Ter-Gevondyan as VP, Commercial Lending Officer

“Anthony is our latest new hire in our concerted effort to find the best-of-the-best banking executives as we look ahead to further strengthening our institution,” says Mark R. DeFazio, President and CEO of Metropolitan Commercial Bank. “His commercial construction, equipment, financial services and healthcare lending and deposit vertical expertise will allow us to broaden our deposit and lending relationships in the Florida market. Anthony will be located in our Brickell, Florida office and report to Danny Tommasino, First Vice President, Group Head of Commercial Lending for Metropolitan Commercial Bank.”

Anthony Ter-Gevondyan started his banking career with JP Morgan Chase. He later moved to PNC Bank to focus on healthcare finance. Anthony received a double major bachelor’s degree in economics and math from Hunter College, a certificate in credit analysis from NYU School of Professional Studies and a Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) certification. With more than 13 years of experience in banking, Anthony has an extensive background in commercial lending, treasury services and middle-market banking.
