Maria Aberin Rejoins Union Bank

Union Bank is excited to announce that Maria Aberin has joined its SBA lending team as Vice President, Business Development Officer. 

Maria Aberin, who worked for Union Bank from 2013 to 2016, rejoins the company with more than 25 years of experience in commercial banking, SBA lending and portfolio/credit management. Maria has previously worked for Wells Fargo, Heritage Bank and, most recently, California Bank of Commerce. 

“I am pleased to welcome Maria, an experienced SBA Business Development Officer, to Union Bank,” says Steve Doss, Director and National Sales Manager for Union Bank. “She is a great addition to our San Jose Lending team and her expertise in new business development with a focus on SBA Lending in the San Jose/Bay Area market will be a valuable asset as we continue to strategically grow our organization.”

Maria, who is based in San Jose, holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Santa Clara University.

First Bank of the Lake Welcomes Ashley Vannoy as VP of SBA Healthcare Commercial Lending

Ashley Vannoy has joined First Bank of the Lake’s SBA Lending team as Vice President, SBA Healthcare Commercial Lending. In this role, Vannoy will be responsible for commercial real estate growth within the 30A, South Walton and Destin communities by capitalizing on her strong track record and relationships in the commercial lending arena.

Vannoy is a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington and the distinguished Graduate School of Banking. She is and has been very active in the communities across the Florida panhandle. She is an alumnus of the Leadership Walton Class of 2009, Leadership Okaloosa Class of 2006, and Leadership Santa Rosa Class of 2004. Vannoy currently serves on the board of Scenic Walton, Mentoring Emerald Coast, and is a member of the Caduceus Society of Sacred Heart Hospital. She is also a trustee member of the Okaloosa Economic Development Council and a 15-year Rotarian.

Harvest Hires Dennis Tynes, Founder of Sprout CDE

Dennis Tynes has joined Harvest Small Business Finance, LLC as Vice President, Business Development Officer. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the finance industry and vast knowledge about commercial and SBA lending. His specialties include small business financing, community development projects, business plans, start-up financing, expansion capital, acquisition financing, and working capital.

Tynes is a graduate of Mississippi State University, but he also attended The Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California prior to serving in the United States Army.

Tynes previous financial experience includes working for Hancock Bank and Industrial concepts. In 2012 he founded Sprout, a Community Development Entity (CDE), which develops turnaround strategies for businesses and helps startup companies of all sizes achieve their goals. Tynes remains the principal owner of Sprout.
