Mark Davis Joins SBA Team at First Business Bank

Mark Davis joins First Business Bank as an SBA Business Development Officer with nearly 20 years of experience in SBA lending. At First Business Bank, Davis will help business owners purchase new businesses and acquire commercial real estate with SBA loans. Davis will be executing all phases of loan origination from initiation to closing.

Throughout his career, Davis has served business owners in a range of industries throughout the country, including food, manufacturing and distribution, veterinary, assisted living centers, recycling centers, and self-storage properties. He focuses on understanding and meeting clients’ objectives with proper loan structuring and smooth handling of the loan file through underwriting to facilitate a swift loan closing.

Mark earned a degree in Finance from Abilene Christian University and attended the Pacific Coast Banking School.

Countybank Welcomes Jack Lucas as Senior Vice President Commercial Banker

Jack Lucas Joins Countybank with over 25 years of commercial banking experience. Before coming to Countybank, he served as Greer Market President and Senior Vice President with Grand South Bank where he successfully led a de novo expansion effort on behalf of that institution.

Lucas holds an MBA from Brigham Young University. He also currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Greer Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Partnership for Tomorrow, and as a Board member of the Greer Centennial Lions Club.

Cesar Jimenez Joins SBA Team at First Business Bank

Cesar Jimenez joins First Business Bank as an SBA Business Development Officer with over 20 years of commercial lending experience. At First Business Bank, Jimenez will focus on helping companies in the medical, manufacturing, distribution, hospitality, and professional services industries gain funding through SBA programs.

Prior to joining First Business Bank, Jimenez was responsible for providing the capital needed for operating businesses through the SBA 504 and SBA 7(a) lending programs.

He graduated from Seton Hall University with a degree in Accounting.
During the Thanksgiving season, Jimenez deep fries turkeys for local non-profit organizations assisting the homeless and less fortunate individuals.

NADCO Announces Board of Directors Election Results

The National Association of Development Companies (NADCO) has announced the election results for their Board of Directors.

Effective on October 18, 2019, NADCO’s new regional directors shall be Erik Adams, Wayne Williams, Sara Vanhala, Zola Finch, and Matt Davis. Their at-large directors will be John Evans, Elaine Fairman, Patti Kibbe, and Randy Kyle.

NADCO was founded in 1981 as a 501(c)(6) corporation chartered in the District of Columbia. NADCO’s mission is to promote, enhance and educate the industry of SBA Certified Development Companies.

Through its board of directors and Washington-based staff, NADCO works closely with the Small Business Administration to ensure the broadest possible access to capital by America’s small business.
