Trae Dorough Named Executive Director of the National Rural Lenders’ Roundtable

Trae Dorough, the Coleman Report’s 2018 SBA Rural Lender of the Year, was recently named executive director of the National Rural Lenders’ Roundtable.

Dorough is a Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at Touchmark National Bank with over 30 years of community banking experience. Preceding his appointment at Touchmark National Bank, Dorough served in various executive roles in community banks throughout Georgia, including successful endeavors in the areas of lending, management, and administration.

Dorough graduated from Georgia Southwestern University in Americus, GA with a BBA in Accounting and went on to become a graduate of Stonier Graduate School of Banking at University of Pennsylvania.

Paragon Small Business Capital Group appoints two vice presidents

Paragon Small Business Capital Group, a division of Paragon Bank, has announced the appointments of Mitch Belton and Rebecca Grant as Vice President, Business Development Officers. Belton and Grant report to Charles Yorke, President of Paragon Small Business Capital Group.

“We are pleased to have Mitch and Rebecca serve in this role,” says Yorke. “Their combined experience in Small Business Administration lending and business development will be a crucial asset to the company and within the Atlanta business community.”

The new Paragon Business Development Officers are charged with developing a network of referral sources to generate leads for potential government guaranteed loans utilizing the Small Business Administration 7(a) lending program and their 504 program as well as the USDA B&I program. They also assist with sourcing direct lending opportunities in both conventional and government guaranteed lending.

Prior to joining Paragon, Belton worked for Wells Fargo, Chase and Citizens Trust, where he also developed business for SBA and conventional loans. Most recently, he worked for 7(a) Funding Group LLC developing and closing 7(a) loans. He received his Master of Business Administration at Clemson University.

Grant joins Paragon with more than 30 years of SBA lending experience with various banks in the Atlanta market. She received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in entrepreneurship at Kennesaw State University.

Gulf Coast Small Business Lending Announces Hiring of Will Tinsley

Gulf Coast Small Business Lending recently announced that it has hired Will Tinsley as Vice President – Business Development Officer in Jupiter, Florida.

Will Tinsley brings over 15 years of experience to his new role at Gulf Coast Small Business Lending having specialized exclusively in SBA since 2014. In particular, Tinsley will focus on utilizing the SBA 7(a) program to provide funding for business acquisitions.
