Jeanne Hulit to Join Northeast Bank
“I am thrilled and excited for this opportunity,” said Hulit. “Northeast Bank is a well-respected, growing community bank in New England and I will make sure our customers in Maine get the care and quality they have come to expect over the years. Together, we are going to create more economic opportunities throughout the region and provide more credit to local businesses so they succeed and grow.”
Hulit joins the bank directly from the Obama Administration where she served in President Obama’s Cabinet as Acting Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), a position she held for the past five months. Prior to the cabinet position, Hulit was the Associate Administrator of the SBA’s Office of Capital Access where she presided over record years in small business lending and worked to streamline and simplify the SBA’s loan programs and expand access to the Agency’s lending programs. Her responsibilities included the agency’s loan, microloan and surety bond programs, credit risk management, secondary market activity and managing financial operations centers.
“Anniversaries are a time to take stock of our successes and the challenges we’ve met through the years,” JRB President Joanna Bruno said. “When J.R. Bruno & Associates was founded in 1994, it was our mission to provide clients with an experienced, dedicated team of SBA and business lending professionals. We have that team!
“It’s also been our consistent focus to treat every client as our only client – there are no ‘cookie-cutter’ solutions here – and on giving each client personal, hands-on guidance to meet their specific needs. We have lived up to that commitment and to the notion that we aren’t here to give clients a fish. We’re here to teach them how to fish. That’s what sets us apart.
Our momentum is a result of our team’s flawless execution and our ability to better identify creditworthy small businesses through technology,” said Noah Breslow, chief executive officer, OnDeck. “OnDeck’s 150% revenue jump in 2013 demonstrates both the high quality of our disruptive solution to a flawed traditional lending system, and the continued need small businesses have for lenders that can deliver fast and friction-free capital.”
