Roger Williams Retains House Small Biz Chair, Joni Ernst is New Senate Small Biz Chair
Congressman Roger Williams is continuing his work as Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business.
“I am grateful to my colleagues for entrusting me as Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business in the 119th Congress. This committee will continue to be a fierce advocate for the men and women of Main Street America, fighting for accountability and common sense in the federal government,” says Chairman Williams. “The House Committee on Small Business is ready to work with President Trump to enact pro-business policies that promote economic growth and support America’s innovators and entrepreneurs.”
Nydia Velázquez is also being reappointed as the Ranking Member of the House Committee on Small Business.
On the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, Senator Joni Ernst will now serve as the committee’s Chair. She says of the upcoming work of the committee:
“Helping my mom and dad around the family farm and watching my dad juggle the farm with his construction business taught me the value of hard work. In Iowa and across the country, small businesses are the lifeblood of the economy and as they grow, our nation grows. After four years of price hikes and miles of red tape that has stifled growth, it is finally a new day in Washington. We are going to roll back damaging regulations, increase transparency, and reform the broken SBA to actually serve Main Street. Let’s get to work!”
Senator Edward Markey was named as the Ranking Member:
