Hot Topic Tuesday – SBA and Treasury Release Names of PPP Loan Recipients Over $150K

On Monday, the U.S. Small Business Administration and U.S. Department of Treasury released redacted Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) data that identifies recipients of loans over $150k by name and address.

According to the data release, PPP loans over $150K supported 31.5 million jobs, with recipients ranging from hospitals to hair salons to restaurants and technology firms.

Along with the borrower names, 4,319 banks were identified in the release, with JPMorgan Chase Bank (1,637,301), Bank of America (1,469,459), and Zions Bank (1,048,233) each preserving over 1 million jobs.

For loans under $150K, only the loan amount, zip code, and lender names have been released.
