“It’s here!!!!” – Trisha Patel Emails Nik in Prison After Receiving $7.5 Million from Loan Fraud Scheme

The USDA guaranteed $6,832,000 of the Patels’ fictitious loan of $8,540,000 in October 2021. Acting as Maya Greer, the fake loan officer, Trisha Patel offered an opportunity to Hanover Securities to place a bid on the loan. Once the Patels received the guarantee, they sold the loan to Hanover Securities for $7,446,880.

On the date that Hanover Securities purchased the loan, Trisha emailed Nik: “It’s here!!!! Finally.”

In response, Nik Patel emailed back: “Amazing News! I will call after count, after 5pm. Make sure its showing credited and available.”

The funds Trisha received from the sale of the loan were used the following ways:

  • Transferred $3.7 million to four bank accounts of which she is the signatory.
  • Transferred $2,125,000 to Nik Patel’s retained attorney.
  • $500,000 was used to purchase cryptocurrency
  • $200,000 was transferred $200,000 to the private schools her four children were attending
  • $81,000 was used to purchase a new BMW
  • $91,000 was used for rent
  • $1.18 million was used to pay attorneys, lobbyists, and consultants
