Salil Mishra and Jason Stewart named Coleman’s SBA 7(a) Lenders of the Year
Salil Mishra
“Salil Mishra has been with the Bank, nearly since its inception ten years ago, rising to the level of Chief Lending Officer in that time. It is no accident that, in the same time period, the Bank has grown exponentially in terms of metrics, employee culture, and overall effect on the community,” says Nicholas Dizonno, President & CEO, Millennium Bank. “Mr. Mishra’s value to the community of minority small business owners is well evidenced by how many people are waiting in the Bank’s lobby for him at any given time. These individuals are not just here to apply for a loan, but are seeking his advice, counsel, and expertise.”
Salil Mishra has been a lender at Millennium Bank since 2010 and the Bank’s Chief Lending Officer since 2015. Under Mishra’s leadership, Millennium Bank’s Small Business lending department has had great success creating opportunities for South Asian small business owners, a historically underserved market. In 2019 alone, Mishra originated nearly 100 loans to small businesses totaling over $70 million. Over 72% of those loans funded minority small business borrowers and over 90% went to businesses employing minority personnel.
Jason Stewart
Jason Stewart served in both the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Navy. Upon returning from multiple deployments, Stewart attended Kent State University and achieved a degree in Economics, and Finance. Since then he has worked for Hometown Bank.
“I never pictured working in an office but have enjoyed every second with this institution. I enjoy helping businesses and Commercial investors with their capital needs,” says Stewart. “We also provide SBA lending for borrowers that may have collateral shortfalls or need a longer-term to help them with cash flow. Every relationship is unique.”
